Go Green, a part of Globus Inc, is a corporate social responsibility project initiated by Globus Inc. It aims at collecting used, empty and defective printer cartridges and preventing them from entering the waste stream and polluting the environment.
Go Green India is a social responsibility aiming at saving environment from pollution by waste material like used printing cartridges at one hand and recycling them into socially useful products at the other hand. By now it has become a vigorous campaign. Used cartridges, if handled irresponsibly and disposed off in landfills, do not disintegrate for years together. These not only keep on occupying landfill space but certainly emanate toxic gases polluting the air around us.
Go Green India endeavors to collect these cartridges from individuals as also government offices and semi govt offices and sends these to treatment plants for recycling into useful materials thus saving the atmosphere from hazardous effects of slow degenerating cartridge material and landfill space. For efficient operation of the campaign Go Green India activists and workers arrange to keep waste cartridges bins in the offices and establishments using these cartridges. Mostly they are enrolled as members of the campaign to work voluntarily to deposit the cartridges in bins for their retrieval and collecting them from individuals for onward transportation to Go Green offices and recycling plants.
